The Shooting Star Awards recognise the efforts of young people in Port Augusta demonstrating excellence in striving to attain desired goals or achievements. The desired goals or achievements are unlimited (ie sporting, recreational, artistic, intellectual, community-based etc), but the commitment to achieving the stated aim must be demonstrable in a way that the community at large can recognise.
